Genesis

Kendriya Vidyalaya Ratlam started functioning in 1984 with Classes I to V in a temporary building at Katju Nagar. Later, in 1990, the Vidyalaya was shifted to its own newly constructed building on Sagod Road, near Jayant Sen Dham, Ratlam, approximately 2 km from Bajana Bus Stand. With the shifting to the new building, the Vidyalaya was expanded to include Classes VI to XII along with the existing Classes I to V.
